Excalibre Insights (in partnership with leading sports brand design company WiteKite) were invited by Tourism Events Queensland (TEQ) and Brisbane Marketing to develop an long-term umbrella event platform for Brisbane. It’s aim was to further showcase the city’s fast growing credentials in the arts, innovation, science and technology, as well as help create a major engagement drawcard for tourism (local, interstate and international, plus re-energise a Tourism and B2B led economy in what was a historically quieter calendar period..
What unfolded?
“Across 20 days from 15 March to 3 April 2019, Brisbane came alive with the inaugural Curiocity Brisbane.
Curiocity Brisbane is a new time for Brisbane, one that encourages people from all walks of life to think outside of the box and see how science, art and technology come together to impact our lives. Through World Science Festival Brisbane, which explored and celebrates the entanglement of science and art, QODE, Australasia’s biggest and newest tech and start up event and the Curiocities, a curious trail of 14+ interactive installations spread along the Brisbane river, Curiocity Brisbane 2019 helped hundreds of thousands of people discover more about science, technology and the arts.”
